MY STORY
Hi, my name is Kevin, and welcome to Tokyo Prodigy. I originally started graphic designing for fun with my younger brother a year ago, and we even had a little shop on Redbubble. We thought it would be more professional for people who liked our products to visit our own personal store. It was definitely a riskier approach, as there's never a guarantee of success – especially with the huge time investment needed to learn how to make a website from scratch. But we managed to pull it off and launch our brand, formerly known as Mai Gallery, last year.
Unfortunately, there was little success, as we knew nothing about the online apparel business or how to market properly. My younger brother eventually lost interest and left the business after we decided to rebrand to a more fitting name – now known as Tokyo Prodigy. The brand sat there dormant, collecting dust. However, it haunted me every day, knowing that I didn’t fully try to see its real potential.
I hope to nurture this brand of mine, as I’ve always had a passion for designing my own graphic T-shirts and a deep love for Japanese culture. It’s just a dream, but it would be incredible to walk around in public and see someone wearing something I designed.
I appreciate you for taking the time to learn about Tokyo Prodigy and for supporting this journey. Your interest and support mean the world to me, as they help bring my dream to life. Every purchase, follow, and share plays a part in building this brand and gives me the motivation to keep pushing forward.
Thank you for being part of Tokyo Prodigy – I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
